Are you passionate about supporting the northern Tasmanian community to reduce waste and drive circular economy initiatives?

Can you represent the northern Tasmanian business and industry community?

If yes – the Northern Tasmanian Waste Management Program (NTWMP) is keen to hear from you!


NRM North, on behalf of NTWMP, is seeking expressions of interest to fill two roles on an independent Grants Assessment Panel.

The NTWMP was formed in 2007 and its members include seven member councils: Break O’Day, Dorset, George Town, Launceston, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands and West Tamar. The role of the NTWMP is to provide advice, funding, and education on better managing waste and recycling, and to facilitate and promote opportunities to strengthen the circular economy within the northern Tasmanian region.


The NTWMP are seeking to appoint:

  1. A Chairperson to lead and convene the independent Assessment Panel
  2. An industry or business representative member of the Assessment Panel

The NTWMP Assessment Panel is governed by Terms of Reference and will provide funding recommendations to the NTWMP Steering Committee on the distribution of grant funds. Standard sitting fees apply.

Candidates must demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the circular economy and key opportunities for northern Tasmanians to reduce the waste entering landfill and build local circular economy initiatives.
